About Us

The John E. Kostic Memorial Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that works to improve the lives of young people in New Jersey. Currently, it is the largest diabetes scholarship organization in the state of New Jersey.

The primary mission of the Foundation is to fund scholarships, hospital enrichment programs, and community support programs that more effectively meet the needs of today’s vulnerable children and families in New Jersey. In pursuit of this goal, the Foundation makes grants that help schools, hospitals, and nonprofits fashion more innovative, cost-effective responses to these needs.

The John E. Kostic Memorial Foundation is exempt from federal income taxes under Section 501(c)(3) and is classified as a private foundation under Section 509(a) of the Internal Revenue Code.
